THE AUTHOR

Noémie Deslot completed a Masters in Graphic Communication at the Haute école des arts du Rhin de Mulhouse — Strasbourg. She wrote a thesis about boxes and decided to make an animation around the fascination for closed boxes. She and her sister imagined the choreography for this project.

In his works, the author explores the potential of the missing image. "I invite the spectator, not to attempt a reconstruction of the original image from the traces left behind, but to have a conscious experience of absence. From this confrontation can arise mental projections, the richness of which will exceed what is strictly visible.
