A fourth hybrid edition
For its fourth edition, and in such a particular context, Hangars Numériques affirms the hybrid character of the genre that forms at the crossroads of dance, visual arts and digital technologies. The works presented as part of the 2021 official selection reflect the concerns of the artists and the research focused on the technological innovations of today and tomorrow. Caroline McCaull experiments with interactive and immersive creation, Louise Coetzer offers an innovative interactive approach in her relationship with the viewer... The artists take up artificial intelligence in their research: Neural art, AI, interractivity... the time of festival, Hangars Numériques host in residence and co-producedNoetic Distancewith Noesis. The creations presented reflect the new experiences that the 2020s have opened up in the breach. The programming, just as hybrid, is articulated online and on site, with the support of the Réunion Region, in collaboration with l'Académie but also Lalanbik - Indian Ocean choreographic development center.
