The technochoreographic approach of Denis Poulin and Martine Époque  testifies to an artistic bias for a particular expression that they named in 2004 "dance without a body"._cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b -136bad5cf58d_In their works from 2003 (Tabula rasa: the sequel, 2003) , NoBody dances: the prototype (2008),_cc758-3b-3905 -136bad5cf58d_La Collection Numérique de signatures motrices de danseurs (2010), CODA, le final du Sacre du printemps_cc781905-5cde-3194- bb3b-136bad5cf58d_(2014, 2D version; 2015, 3D-relief version), the digital performers, freed from their physical appearance, offer a dance in which humans manifest themselves in the form of dynamic imprints bearing their motor signature. Freed from this usual reference of dance, these works offer a look that magnifies the danced movement and its energetic manifestations.

Since the death of Martine Époque in January 2018, Denis Poulin has pursued with conviction the vision of dance he developed with his lifelong accomplice. His latest short film PASSAGE is the first part of his next cinematographic project built around the concept of a museum dedicated to real and virtual dance.
